REDUCING THE GROUNDWATER DEFICIT BY APPLYING AQUIFER ARTIFICIAL RECHARGE TECHNIQUES

Oana Ștefania Negoiță

Romaqua, 2017, vol. 122, issue 8, 34-42

Abstract: The current paper presents the identification and analysis with the support of mathematical modeling of the effect generated by the blocking of the current of groundwater, in order to increase the volume of available water, taking into account different hypothesis, which can influence the efficiency of the barrier. This analysis started with the concept of operation of the ground storage barriers [1], which represents a category of technics of artificial recharge of aquifers, which blocks or retains natural flow of ground water, increasing also the volume of water reserves from aquifer, upstream of barrier.
