Abstract: The labor market changes constantly, for one thing, due to technological progress and a high level of digitalization. The speed within business processes isincreasing and companies are forced to react to this fact. As a strategic instrument for business optimi­ zation, the importance of workplace management is growing. In addition, a high production rate, high efficiency and lean processes are getting decisive for success. A workplace management aligned to the business structure aims to optimize productivity as well as the exchange within the different organiza­ tional units in the core business and to reduce operating costs. Furthermore , employees should identify themselves with the company and thus, their social environment is transferred more and more into their daily business life. The feeling of belonging and safety as weil as the trust in the company should be purposefully strengthened. The chance of a company lies within its possibility to enhance the intrinsic motivation of their employees.
