Abstract: It has for quite some time been an open secret that ethical business decisions and actions add to the image and credibility of an enterprise. Other than that questions of conduct and good governance have been neglected by the disciples of sheer management believes, of duly controlled figures and statistics or market penetration theories. Just lately with huge scandals in the business and finance world on a global scale, the artificial division between business and morals has been found to be counterproductive. Step by step the grim reaps of unethical conduct have been unveiled in all walks of business circles. A number of incidents and outcomes have been analyzed in the following research. They unearthed a pattern of misconceptions leading to wrongful decisions, huge business failures and the loss of stakeholders’ money. A healer could be the implementation of business ethics as the core of company culture from the beginning.
