Abstract:
The adaptation and adoption of IoT devices in education has gathered a lot of interest, especially with the ongoing transformation of teaching and learning processes into the digital world. The pandemic period has boosted the need for digital solutions in education, further marking the role of IoT remodel towards achieving educational goals. This research focuses on the factors that impact lecturers’ intention to use IoT at the Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Selangor Campus. This study has categorized the factors that define lecturers' acceptance of IoT using the UTAUT model. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data from 140 lecturers at UiTM Selangor as part of a survey. The study investigates the linkage between Social Influence, Facilitating Conditions, Knowledge and Skills, Effort Expectancy, and IT capability with IoT adoption intentions. The results help in understanding interrelations among variables included in this study and provide educational leaders with important information needed to create policies that support instructors adopting IoT-based instruction. This research is aimed at addressing the gaps identified through studies in post post-COVID-19 era and provides ways to improve the learning experience and the level of education achieved in the post-pandemic academic landscape.
