Abstract: The relevance of the stated topic is dictated by the increasing information and military confrontation between the Russian Federation and the West and the need in these conditions to monitor the level of social consolidation, which largely depends on the social and media support of the solidarity effect on Russian society. The purpose of the study is to identify the key characteristics of cognitive maps of information flows representing attitudes towards consolidation and deconsolidation of Russian society. The objectives of the analysis are to identify contexts, triggers, discourses, target audiences, actors, technologies for the formation of public attitudes, to determine the pool of actors and authors of consolidation and deconsolidation content of the Russian segment of social media. The characteristics of the consolidation flow include patterns of using collective security as a basis for solidarity, maintaining a value consensus, positive national-state identity, and maintaining sovereignty as a basic value. Signs of deconsolidation flows are the exploitation of social deprivation to undermine public trust in the authorities, devaluation of the importance of independence and state sovereignty, instructional, irrational, and manipulative influence on public opinion. In conclusion, as one of the results of the study, measures for information support of consolidation work in social media are presented.
