Abstract: The purpose of the article is to clarify the meaning of the phenomena of "communication" and interpersonal "network interaction", to separate their boundaries, definitions and evolutionary prospects in terms of the political organization of man and sociality. Based on the presented duality of definitions, the authors substantiate that the information space is replete with seemingly mutually exclusive narratives about the life of people in the "connected world", in the "human web", in the "network society" and at the same time about the life of "free", "independent", "individual". The authors mark that an opportunity opens up to assess the deep essence, content, direction, limits and prospects of information circulating between people in the context of the organization of both the person himself and any local or global sociality created by him. As a result, the key concept of the emerging logical dichotomy of “connectedness – freedom” becomes precisely “connectedness”, which is capable, under certain conditions, of reconciling “freedom” and “independence”, balancing them with “interaction” and “interdependence”. The study and structuring of the essence of the meanings of the phenomena of “communication” and “network interaction” allows us to abstract the boundaries and, in the context of information exchange, consider them as equivalent concepts. In conclusion, it is concluded that in the modern conditions of global sociality, on the one hand, a person is puzzled by the independence that has fallen on them as a result of the final collapse of illusions regarding the ability of any external third-party hierarchical systematization of sociality and formalization of oneself in it in one capacity or another; on the other hand, he gradually comes to understand that his own independence still has certain boundaries, determined by his belonging to a certain general local or global. social.
