Abstract:
With the onset of the financial crisis in the autumn of 2008, representatives of top ten leading Russian companies in the retail sector faced with acute liquidity crisis amid a sharp rise in price of borrowed funds, "stood in line" for loans to state banks (and many of them have received). The main argument when applying for this extra help was needed to pay suppliers and maintain afloat domestic producers.
