Abstract:
Russian classical literature was hardly interested in entrepreneurs and focused primarily on the nobles, small people and nihilists. The only exceptionwas Nikolai Gogol, the 200th anniversary of whose birth we celebrate this year. Everyone knows the story of Gogol's great poem - Chichikov buying dead souls. Polls show that only a few understand what he is doing. Meanwhile Chichikov project is of great interest for our time - a time of economic crisis.
