Abstract:
Strategic appearance of Russian science is now the subject of intense debate, including debate continues on the concrete structure, functions and powers of the individual departments and organizations. The sharpest and most ambitious of the issues discussed - is, of course, the question of the necessity and desirability of preserving the historically established in the country in fundamental science management model, that is, the Russian Academy of Sciences, in its current form. Discussions of these, apparently not soon stop. There is, however, a number of priority actions whose implementation is necessary today, and it does not require the immediate adoption of large-scale organizational decisions and the choice of the trajectory of structural modernization of the science sector.
