Abstract:
An intense discussion on the role of mergers and acquisitions in the economy has taken place over past 100 years. Recently, this issue has become actual for Russia and other emerging markets. The present paper attempts to provide an overview of modern theoretical approaches based on recent empiric research, to evaluate some perspectives for the development of M&A market in Russia.
