Abstract:
Describes preliminary results of the three phases of structural reform of the Russian railways and the present problems on Russian railways. The author show that reforms had been implemented in some segments of the industry, for example, in the operating cars segment has been tariff liberalization, private property, which is the growth of investment in the acquisition of fleet, increasing volumes of traffic. In other segments (infrastructure and locomotive department) remain State property and as a consequence the stagnation and shortage.
