Abstract: Financial control in Russia was born 350 years ago. Throughout its history, the financial control structure varied depending on the characteristics of the economic and political situation. The bodies of state financial control of a new type, based on the principle of separation of powers and parliamentary democracy, appeared in Russia only in the post-Soviet period. This body became formed in 1995, the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation.
