Abstract:
The article analyzes the history of international exhibitions as part of the global industrial expansion and the factor of diffusion of innovations during the second technological revolution. It stresses the importance of international exhibitions for the formation of the international patent system in the context of changes in the productive forces and institutions of capitalism.
