Abstract:
The article analyzes the conceptual approaches to health workforce planning. The major imbalances in the composition of medical resources are highlighted. The quantitative assessment of the impact of structural changes in the system of health care for the total need for medical personnel. We formulate the main directions of personnel policy aimed at overcoming the shortage of doctors. The main conclusions: 1) the number of doctors available may be sufficient to meet the needs of the population for health care subject to significant changes in the structure and composition of the health care sector personnel; 2) increasing the number of policies of extensive medical hopeless.
