Abstract: The article examines the features of monetary policy implemented in the present conditions the central banks in the context of the evolution of their goals and objectives at different stages of economic development. The author substantiates the claim that the choice of goals and objectives is due to objective factors, and concluded that global howl financial and economic crisis, marked the challenges and constraints in choosing the direction of monetary policy has become another starting point in the process of its evolution
