Abstract: The transformation of the world order, the change in the geopolitical and geo-economic picture of the world, the new vectors of the socio-economic policy of the Russian Federation imply the actualization of research strategies in the field of socio-economic sciences and the achievement of the maximum level of their relevance to the challenges of the current stage. To achieve the sovereignization of the domestic sector of socio-economic research, it is important to formulate a new conceptual apparatus of the current socio-economic policy, as well as to develop instrumental and methodological support for the trend tracking process. The analysis of professional and open trendwatching algorithms used in this study gives grounds to note that the only area in which the trend monitoring process relies on developed methodology and tools is the creative industries. To adapt these algorithms to the tasks of monitoring socio-economic policy, the development of the TrendWatching agency, which has patented the Purpose-Driven Innovation methodology, which is an analytical scheme that turns multidirectional trends into significant trends, is especially promising.
