Abstract: Purpose. To consider various aspects of a problem of risk management in an entrepreneurial activity. To study instruments of risk management of an entrepreneurial activity. To analyse the use of instruments of risk management of an entrepreneurial activity. Methods. In the article, risk management is considered with the help of systematic and process approaches. Risk management process is represented as a complex in which the procedures are marked out. Various methods and actions for risk prediction and possible ways of affecting it are studied. Results. Tools and methodology for business risk management are studied. Risk management experience at the enterprise is analysed. Various aspects of formation of a risk management system of the enterprise are given. Methods of quantitative and high-quality risk analysis of an entrepreneurial ac-tivity are considered. Implementation problems of these methods are revealed. Scientific novelty. The author formulated the business principles that are to be observed in risk management. Being guided by the requirements of modern economy, the basic rules of risk management are proposed.
