Abstract: The purpose of the study of the political and philosophical content of labor relations and working time. Research of the problem of labor activity understanding, the maintenance of working time and fea-tures of work in modern conditions of market economy is of key importance for labor and social and political relations development. It is especially relevant now, when market relations development and restructuring of many sectors of the domestic economy is taking place. A modern political and philo-sophical approach to the study of labor and working time is closely related to the legal and economic one and is based on improving the rights of workers by introducing new forms of employment. Such topical political and philosophical issues of labor activity as labor employment and freedom, the pur-pose of labor and its goals, working time as the basis of labor are studied. Methods. The comparative method of research is applied. The comparative analysis of legal, economic and political elements in the content of working time is carried out. The functional, comparative-legal and formal-logical method of cognition were used too. Results. The main directions of studying the political and philosophical content of labor relations and working time are formulated. Taking into account the development of new forms of employment and types of working hours, the results of the study may contribute to the introduction of more flexible working conditions. Novelty and relevance. The study of the political and philosophical content of labor relations and work-ing time in the framework of international political mechanisms of working time control is due to the fact that at present, during the reform of the Russian system of labor relations, the issue of new forms of working time, increasing the efficiency of its use is acute. Therefore, new requirements for interna-tional political mechanisms for working hours regulating are of key importance. It is also important to generalize the theory and practice of working time use and its types in foreign countries, in order to improve the labor relations policy and the possible introduction of more flexible working conditions.
