Abstract:
The article considers the methodological issue of more than half a century of modernization theories. The validity of the dialectical approach to the phenomenon of modernization is shown, the processes that occur in a rapidly changing social context. Currently, an adequate understanding of the internal problems without external factors is impossible due to the fact that the globalization changes acquire the self-sufficient sense. In the leading countries of the world the global complex acceleration of moderni-zation processes is given, which is manifested in the expansion of post-industrial social relations, however, somewhere reinforcing the stratification of society. Much more controversial processes of modernization occur in developing countries where conversions have more fragmented and incoherent sense, it is not always focused on real national interests.
