Abstract:
The priority direction of the fight against NCD is the global implementation of the strategy of primary prevention of these diseases. Education of the population is an important medico-social task of this strategy. However, in order to maintain the validity principle in the proposed specific methods for raising awareness, a differentiated approach is needed to assess the existing level of knowledge, to clearly formulate the goal and objectives. The study included residents of Rostov-on-Don who did not have a profile medical education. With the help of a specially developed evaluation system, the level of public awareness of NCDs, adherence to prevention and treatment was revealed. The obtained data made it possible to draw conclusions on priority directions in educating the population about the methods of implementing the global NCD prevention strategy.
