Abstract:
In this article, the authors talk about the problem of non-participation in the Russian state, the passivity of young people in political life, and indifference to social problems. However, the request for participation in social and political life from youth is present, as evidenced by various empirical studies at the regional level. One of the most visible and effective mechanisms for realizing the potential of Russian youth's participation in social and political life is the youth parliaments created in the regions. The Youth Parliament is a form of youth self-government that assumes the active participation of young Russians in the preparation, adoption and implementation of managerial decisions related to its socially healthy livelihoods. In this article, within the framework of the implementation of the state youth policy, the positive experience of the Public Youth Parliament under the Samara Provincial Duma is noted. The authors show that the youth parliament provides broad opportunities for young people to realize their potential in social and political activities.
