Abstract: The article is devoted to the actual problem of availability of microfinance in the conditions of economic instability typical for Russia. The current state of this sector of the economy is analyzed. At the moment, the domestic economy needs to improve the availability of financial services. On the basis of the analysis, it is concluded that there is a need for microfinance and microcredit organizations, but taking into account their main objectives: poverty alleviation and financing of start-up entrepreneurs.
