Abstract:
Currently China is one of the main players on the international arena, from the foreign policy of which largely depends the alignment of political forces in the world. Modern societies are characterized by socio-political reflection, and the analysis of discourse is one of the tools for studying it. One should take socio-political reflection into consideration while researching different processes, which take place in modern society. The speech of the Secretaries General of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is one of the most important events in the political life of China, which is monitored both domestically and abroad. The aim of the work is to study the evolution of the foreign policy vector of China from 1997 to the present time by analyzing the discourse of the speeches of the country's leaders at the XV-XIX congresses of the CCP.
