Abstract:
In the article the authors study the role and influence of sports and sporting events on the level of national security. Various concepts of sports influence on state development are noted, sports are analyzed as a tool of political influence and a means of overcoming modern conflicts. As a practical example, the sphere of national security during the 2018 FIFA world Cup is analyzed, as well as various examples of international cooperation in the framework of sports events are considered.
