Abstract: The article discusses the main directions of influence of Russian “soft power” through the use of technologies of humanitarian influence in foreign policy, with the help of which the image of our state is formed. The author emphasizes that today the role and importance of the toolbox of "soft power" is increasing. The article deals with such tools of “soft power” as public diplomacy, the media and education. In addition, the author notes that the effectiveness of the influence of "soft power" abroad can grow due to foreign young people, who get acquainted with the national identity of our country through international events and academic exchanges.
