Abstract: The article discusses the main ideas about the essence of the phenomenon of globalization on the part of scientific communities, conventionally designated as “pessimistic researchers”, “optimistic researchers” and “realists”. The main problem of the phenomenon of globalization is considered – contradiction. It notes the role in understanding and overcoming the global contradictions of the special sphere of interdisciplinary knowledge about the integrity of the world and global processes – globalistics and its ability to offer alternative globalization models, within the framework of which there will be a change in the fundamental attitudes of the organization of social life at the level of mass social existence.
