Abstract:
The summary in the submitted article is updated the problem of regional identity perceived by the Russian youth as a sociocultural marker of belonging to regional community, a position of regional patriotism and involvement into regional public activity. The author of article believes that in a present situation the regional identity of the Russian youth undergoes the changes connected, first, with its status of symbolical consolidation, secondly, with growth of readiness of youth to realize various political actions in regional community. According to the author of article, youth extremism "assimilates" regional identity through the strategy of a mimicry or accession to the mass actions caused by the crisis phenomena in regional social and economic life. Relevant, the conclusion is drawn, the request for the public youth policy of the "achievable" projects corresponding to youth potential in Russian regions, and offering new opportunities for self-realization is.
