Abstract: Project management as an actual path of development of modern systems of management in entrepreneurial and public sectors is an important methodological and practical opportunity to stabilize macroeconomic processes in Russian Federation, to enhance their quality and productivity. The article determines the complex of factors of implementing project management system into Russian economic policy and strategic planning. Institutional, legal, organizational barriers slowing down the implementation of project management in power bodies of RF are described.
