Abstract: The article identifies exogenous (determined by the socio-political system), and endogenous (intrafamily) factors in the formation of acting dynasties in Soviet society. The empirical basis of the work is 14 biographical documents (essays, memoirs and interviews with representatives of the acting dynasties of Boyarsky, Vertinsky, Dvorzhetsky and Strizhenov).
