Abstract: The article examines the specifics of the existing views of young people on the results of Great patriotic war within the context of the tasks of the patriotic learning of the youth. The sources of information used by schoolchildren and students are considered. The analysis of the views of young people is carried out taking into account modern chal-lenges and the necessity of preserving the historical memory of the people. The article was prepared on the basis of empirical information of interregional sociological research.
