Abstract:
This article addresses the issue of the most important factors in the development of the city of Derbent at the present stage – the urban economy and the business development environment. The efficiency of the economy of the city of Derbent as a whole and the efficiency of using its resources are evaluated. The analysis of the structure of the urban economy, the state of small business and conditions for its development, as well as the state of urban Finance. The study determined that the city economy is characterized by insufficiently efficient use of urban territory, which is manifested in a relatively low indicator of city budget revenues from the use of urban territory, as well as a higher share of gratuitous receipts in the structure of city budget revenues compared to the average indicator for small and medium-sized cities of the Russian Federation.
