Abstract:
Article is devoted to the actual problem of research of collectivist and individualistic values in the context of formation of life strategies of Russians. Based on the understanding of life strategies as behavioral practices aimed at the realization of life goals and priorities of the individual based on value orientations, the author of the article emphasizes the need to identify objective factors that limit or stimulate the influence of collectivist and individualistic values as the meanings of building and implementing life strategies. The main conclusion is that structural and institutional factors in the life strategies of Russians determine the actions of the success model that reflects sociostructural differences in Russian society and fix the weakness of institutional actors in the actualization of collectivist values as a result of unequal access to institutional resources. The social disposition of the individual contains socially fixed attitudes focused on reproducing instrumentalist activism.
