Abstract: The article discusses the features of the formation and achievement of global leadership in the scientific and educational sphere, as well as factors that affect the achievement of high competitive positions. In the course of the research, a separate emphasis is placed on changing the modern paradigm of global leadership, which provides for a reorientation to intellectual resources and an increase in the role of scientific research, innovation, training and education systems for the future generation. The analysis carried out allows us to stat that the modern model of global leadership in the scientific and educational sphere is dynamic, based on different functional areas and is characterized by a wide subjective disposition. Based on the results obtained, the article proposes a model of global leadership in the scientific and educational sphere, which is based on three components of the leadership of universities, scientific and educational infrastructure and educational TNCs.
