Abstract:
The article deals with the issues of e-government development, taking into account the retrospective aspects of its establishment and promising directions of its transformation. It is determined that during the twenty years of development of e-government, there has been a transition from the use of information and communication technologies to improve the existing business processes to a conceptual change in the functioning of government bodies as a result of reengineering the activities of the state apparatus based on digital technologies. The main trends in the long-term development of e-government in the digital economy are the transition from egovernment to digital government; the use of e-government capabilities to solve current socio-economic problems and neutralize threats; digital integration of the subject and object of management within smart territories.
