Abstract: The article examines the diversity of the resources of political power and concludes that the need for a versatile classification of the resources of political power for a more productive and profitable use of them is of paramount importance. Considering the historical development of ideas about the division of resources into certain types from the moment of their emergence to the present time, we can talk about the varying degree of demand for certain resources of political power in the presence or absence of demo-cratic principles in the management of the state. The complexity and completeness of the power arsenal cannot be permanent and must respond to the trends in the development of the political process, both at the state and at the world level.
