Abstract: The article presents the results of a sociological study on the problem of the interdepend-ence of historical events of the last three decades in the assessments of the scientific community. In the course of the work, the contradictions identified by means of general scientific and proper sociological methods, which were the trigger in the ontogenesis of the presented problems, are determined. The discrepancy between the desired state of large and small social groups of the Russian Federation and reality is presented in the form of an interpretation of two axiomatic definitions – "social dissatisfaction of the 90s of the XX century in the Russian Federation" and "the paradigm of socio-historical determinism". This made it possible to fully and clearly reflect the entire range of existing contradictions and unresolved state problems in the country today. The quintessence of the research is the axiom that social well-being is one of the conjuncture-forming factors of the institutional and state structure, reflecting the degree and order of inclusion of large and small social groups, as well as individuals, in the system of public relations.
