Abstract: The research is devoted to the issues of resource provision of environmental protection projects through environmentally neutral "green" investments and the subsequent transition to a low-carbon economy. The research investigates different instruments of “green” financing and features of their use. Russian and foreign practice of socially responsible investments, trends and barriers to it’s develop-ment are examined. Conclusions are drawn about the effective configuration of the state and the private sector to stimulate "green" investment.
