Abstract:
The article considers the problems of modern elitogenesis, determines the need for the Russian economy to transition to an innovative path of development and identifies the role of Russian elites in conducting innovation policy. Consideration of the innovative economic development of Russia in the elitiological context made it possible to analyze the quality of the modern elite, to identify the role and place of Russian elites in the world economic system. During the research the susceptibility of the Russian elite to innovations is analyzed on the basis of the index of quality of elite (Elite Quality Index) and their ability to implementation of policy on innovative development of Russia is detected. As a result of the analysis of modern elitogenesis, a conclusion is made about the low level of quality and insufficient susceptibility of part of the elites to innovation and creative activity.
