Abstract:
The scientific article examines various scientific historical and modern approaches to defining the essence of volunteering as a socio-cultural phenomenon from the point of view of domestic and foreign scientists. Various interpretations of the relevance of the problem from the standpoint of philosophy, sociology, economics, law, history, pedagogy, and psychology are given. A comparative and comparative analysis of various scientific and methodological studies has been carried out. The role of volunteering in the formation of socio-cultural behavior, traditions, spiritual and moral development of modern Russian society, in particular student youth, is considered. The importance and relevance of volunteering in the process of obtaining secondary specialized, higher and postgraduate education, as well as for further employment, has been proven.
