Abstract:
The article substantiates the need to analyze and rethink the perception of the results of The Civil War in the mass consciousness of the population of modern Russia in order to restore national consensus on the issues of the political, economic and spiritual development of the country. Modern Russian society has not yet completely overcome the former split and it’s far enough away from developing a consolidated historical consciousness and national consensus on the most important issues of the country's recent past, which hinders the formation of socio-political unity of Russian society.
