Abstract: An attempt by the world community based on the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change in Glasgow (November 2021) to achieve "carbon neutrality" by 2050 immediately hit a number of obstacles. The first of them was the COVID-19 pandemic. The second is the rejection of large-scale energy supplies from Russia, which almost completely destroyed the logistics of the transit of fuel created for decades. The West's politicization of hydrocarbon fuel has proved devastating to the global economy as a whole. And since in the conditional share of the unit of production, energy costs are about 60%, the world market faced the fact of rising prices for a wide range of products with increasing inflation. In the current conditions of politicization of energy security, it is necessary to abandon any sanctions without a UN recommendation and refuse to achieve "carbon neutrality".
