Abstract:
The article examines the problems of distance learning development in higher education, as well as the prospects of introducing new distance learning technologies in Russian universities. The methodology used was content analysis of public speeches of rectors of leading Russian universities, secondary analysis of sociological research data and our own sociological research conducted by survey method.
