Abstract: The article deals with scientific and educational potential of Rostov region to create an effective communication strategy for promotion of the region in the Republic of Tajikistan. Based on the expert survey the authors of the article developed recommendations for improving communication strategies with foreign countries in the field of science and education, as well as developed the model of a media-information resource functioning, effectively positioning scientific and educational potential of the region.
