Abstract:
The paper describes the tourism potential of Taganrog and possible directions of its development. In this context, a mechanism for managing the development of the tourist potential of the city has been developed and criteria for an integral indicator for assessing the effectiveness of tourist activity in the region, assuming qualitative and quantitative indicators, have been determined. The proposed mechanism of functioning of the regional tourism sector is based on extensive interdepartmental communications and on the opportunities presented by federal regulatory documents.
