Abstract: The article analyzes the current state and functioning of the transport and logistics complex of the Rostov region on the example of the city of Taganrog. On the basis of sociological research, a number of problems in the development and condition of passenger and freight transportation were identified, on the basis of which ways to solve problems were proposed and the main directions of the industry development were identified. When conducting a study of the state of passenger transport in Russia, an analytical method was used; the recommendations made at the end of the article were obtained based on the analysis of both theoretical studies and processed statistical data.
