Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to examine the detrimental impact of Westernization processes on the national mentality as an integral part of the national security of the state. The following scientific approaches and methods were used: axiological approach, historical approach, as well as analysis and political forecasting. Modern Russia is facing a difficult task - to protect its national interests and defend its independence in the international arena, as well as to reverse the processes of Westernization that have begun inside the country and minimize the negative consequences from them. The author concludes that only an equitable dialogue between all states is able to form a just world order. The unipolar world is outdated, demonstrating its practical inconsistency. And Westernization as a synonym for globalization (which, incidentally, the modern world needs) has not resonated with many countries of the non-Western world.
