Abstract: In the modern world, such an element of the competitiveness of an enterprise as intellectual capital comes to the fore. There are several approaches to knowledge management, but in the frame-work of this article, two of the most popular are considered: the model of I. Nonak, H. Takeuchi and the model of H. Krmar, J. Reheuser. Analytical and systematic approaches were used as the main research methods. As a result of the analysis, the author of the article came to the conclusion that the intellectual capital of an organization is a set of knowledge, experience and mental activity of the company's employees, which, as a result of various kinds of transformations (organizational, technical, etc.), have been transformed into a new product that brings profit.
