Abstract: In this article, the author examines one of the most global and ambitious public projects aimed at creating a digital space of the future "new social person". The metaverse should provide ample opportunities for online users not only in the field of communication, leisure activities, but also this digital world should become as realistic as possible. The social risks of the project implementation are analyzed, primarily related to ensuring the safety of users, and possible prospects for the development of this platform are given. The urgency of creating a new moral paradigm for the future digital space is formulated. The potential social consequences of the widespread introduction of the metaverse in the context of the development of new technologies in key areas of public life are considered.
