Abstract: The article describes relevant directions of improving innovative activity management of such subjects of managing as a region and an enterprise. The authors present theoretical approach to determining interrelation of the categories connected with innovations, directions of developing techniques of region innovative activity assessment and also the role of the converter of innovations as a structural element of the public sector of economy within regional innovative system is reflected. The purposes of functioning of the regional converter of innovations are described. The example of realizing such purpose of the regional converter of innovations as elimination of information vacuum for increasing innovative activity of personnel of the enterprises is presented.
