Abstract:
Faith is an important structural element of human consciousness, along with will, knowledge, and emotions. The article analyzes various views on the nature of faith, on its place in spiritual culture, on the correlation of faith and knowledge, faith and intuition. Knowledge of the world around us will never be complete and exhaustive. The process of cognition is based on belief in the cognizability of the world. The authors reveal the role of faith in the process of a person’s value orientation. It is faith that gives meaning to human actions. The concept of «faith» is much broader than the concept of «religious faith». Understanding the nature of faith allows you to understand the essence of a man more deeply.
